Sidney Crosby – We are so Proud of You!

My claim to fame around Sidney Crosby is only that I happen to live in the same town he grew up in, have skated on the same ice he played hockey on and I have met his dog Sam, a beautiful golden lab/retriever. When he came to Cole Harbour in the summer of 2009 with the Stanley Cup I didn't even get to see him as I was working that day - luckily my family did see him and got some great pictures. Of course I watched the Olympic hockey game between Canada and USA like millions of others and saw the amazing OT goal scored by Sidney.

The Jolly Jumper

Funny how 12 years between kids can yield such different toys. When my oldest daughter was young, I had a Jolly Jumper given to me that had been passed down over the years and was on its last legs. A Great Invention!

I think I have found one of the greatest inventions! Its called the Bumbo Baby Seat and Play Tray. Here is a picture of my daughter Tara in her lilac Bumbo seat at three months of age. She actually sat in her Bumbo chair the first time when she was seven weeks old and it was absolutely amazing at how well she sat up by herself.
