A Great Invention!

I think I have found one of the greatest inventions! Its called the Bumbo Baby Seat and Bumbo Baby Seat Play Tray. Here is a picture of my daughter Tara in her lilac Bumbo seat at three months of age. She actually sat in her Bumbo chair the first time when she was seven weeks old and it was absolutely amazing at how well she sat up by herself.

When we are all at the dinner table, Tara will sometimes sit with us. We have not yet bought a high chair as she has not yet started to eat baby food. We put the Bumbo chair on one of the dining room chairs and she gets to see all the family and look around. Of course, we are right beside her to make sure that she is stable and will not tip over.

The Bumbo seat seems to be really stable, not tippy at all. We haven’t had any issues at all with it tipping although if Tara was older and wiggled around alot I would be very watchful. It has a nice wide base and its made of a kind of strong smooth rubber – seems to be really strong material yet not uncomfortable to sit on I don’t think. We have the Play Tray too and it fits onto the seat really well. I wiah I had one of these when my 11 year old was a baby – it constantly surprises me what has changed in baby gear in the last 12 or so years.

The Bumbo seat comes in great colours – pink, blue, lilac, lime green, yellow and orange. If you have a young one on the way or are looking for a great baby shower gift I highly recommend this!
